Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter Divine Ikubor, professionally known as Rema, is trending online after reportedly receiving $3 million (approximately N4.5 billion) to perform at India’s $600 million wedding.
A-list celebrities and top politicians have gathered in India’s second-largest city for the wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani. Anant, 29, is marrying his longtime girlfriend, Radhika Merchant, also 29, in what has been dubbed the wedding of the year, noted for its extravagant display of wealth and glamour.
The event has attracted notable personalities including the Kardashians, Adele, Drake, Lana Del Rey, David Beckham, and former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson, as reported by local media.
Kim and Khloe Kardashian have already begun posting wedding content on their Instagram stories, while Nick Jonas and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, were photographed arriving in Mumbai.
This event is reminiscent of previous grand performances at Ambani family weddings. Justin Bieber earned $10 million for a brief performance at a pre-wedding event, while Rihanna received around $6.3 million for her performance.
