Nigerian award-winning singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has continued to air his frustrations on social media, following the recent revival of his long-standing rivalry with fellow Afrobeat star David Adeleke, aka Davido.
The feud, which escalated on October 1, saw Wizkid publicly calling Davido a “talentless and wack” singer, and even mocking his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, known as the “dancing governor.”
This clash followed Davido teasing his first single of the year by sharing a snippet across his social media pages. While many wondered what triggered Wizkid’s sudden anger, reports suggest it might have been tied to an endorsement deal with PUMA, a popular clothing brand. It is speculated that Wizkid was upset after the deal, which he was linked to in the past, was later given to Davido.
Fans and social media users have reacted to the ongoing feud, with many taking sides. Some believe the rivalry is fueled by competition in their music careers, while others point to deeper personal issues. Despite a fan apologizing on Davido’s behalf, Wizkid has continued to express his grievances, leaving many to question whether this conflict will resolve or intensify further.
In the latest development, an X user identified as @Freyy_is called out Wizkid as he pleaded to him on behalf of Davido. He wrote, “Wizkid, we are sorry on their behalf.”
Wizkid replied as he continued to express his anger on Davido again. He replied, “FVck em all.”
