Popular Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has taken to social media to raise an alarm after receiving an unexpected deposit of N100 million in his NGO’s bank account.
In a viral video, VDM expressed his shock and concern over the large sum, which was sent to his account around 7 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
VDM, who had previously disclosed that his NGO account had accumulated N21 million just 24 hours after opening it on October 13, 2024, created the account to support children in public primary schools. His aim is to improve education by providing quality teachers and creating job opportunities for graduates, helping them transition from temporary jobs like POS work or selling goods.
In the video, VDM emphasized his commitment to transparency, stating that the N100 million deposit was unexpected and he needed the public’s support to resolve the issue. He assured his followers that he was not involved in any fraudulent activity and called on Zenith Bank to investigate the matter thoroughly. With the new deposit, the total amount in his NGO account now stands at N170 million.
Sharing the video, VDM accompanied it with the caption; “@zenithbankplc please investigate my NGO account,I don’t know what is going on,hope im not being set up….I AM NOT INTO MONEY L^UNDERING I DO NOT DO FR^UD(FOR THE RECORD) Nigerians bare me witness I don’t know what’s up with the account.”
