A new rift is emerging in Nigeria’s entertainment and social media space, involving two popular figures — comedian Carter Efe and TikToker Peller. The feud became public after a TikTok live session surfaced online, featuring both personalities alongside actress Sandra Benede. What began as a seemingly casual session quickly spiraled into a heated exchange, drawing wide attention from fans and followers.
Peller, who has been trending for his romantic involvement with fellow TikTok influencer Jarvis, appeared on the live session with Carter Efe and Sandra. However, things took a dramatic turn when Peller made a personal jab at Carter Efe by commenting on his marriage to his wife, Nuella.
For context, Carter Efe is in a long-term relationship with Nuella, a fellow content creator. The couple has a daughter named Charis, born in December 2023. Carter has openly celebrated his family life, even posting family portraits in February 2024 to showcase his commitment and love for them.
During the live session, Peller asked Carter Efe a seemingly innocent question:
“How long have you been with your wife?”
Carter answered that they’ve been together for about three to four years. However, Peller’s provocative reaction sparked the conflict. He insulted Carter Efe by saying he didn’t deserve someone as attractive as Nuella, and even implied that she is only with him out of pity or necessity, rather than genuine love.
This statement visibly infuriated Carter Efe, who clapped back by questioning the authenticity of Peller’s relationship with Jarvis. He sarcastically asked:
“So Jarvis na your type?”
Carter went on to claim that Jarvis does not truly love Peller — pointing to how she often appears uninterested or unhappy in their photos and videos. He described Peller as “foolish” for continuing to post pictures with someone who doesn’t show visible affection in public.
Still fuming, Carter Efe defended his relationship with Nuella, stating that even though she may not be considered his “type” by others, she’s the mother of his child, and they are still together and raising their family. He challenged Peller to try and reach that level of commitment by daring him to impregnate Jarvis, questioning whether their relationship is serious or strong enough to withstand real-life responsibilities.
In his words:
“You go snap picture with her, she go dey squeeze face, and you go foolishly post am again. Yet you talk say my babe no be my type. But she don carry my pikin. Make Jarvis carry your own pikin if dem born am well — girl wey dem fit collect from your hand!”
This last remark suggests Carter believes Jarvis might leave Peller, and that she isn’t as committed to him as Nuella is to Carter. It also reflects Carter’s frustration with being publicly disrespected, especially over a deeply personal matter like his family.
