Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has gone viral after sharing a humorous yet pointed moment with a Nigerian lady who previously criticized him on a podcast.
The incident traces back to February 2025, when the lady, during an episode of Pulse Sport’s Heat podcast, had labeled Boniface “talentless,” claiming that he was more known for sharing memes and doing giveaways than for any remarkable achievement in football. She further argued that the Bayer Leverkusen striker had not won any major awards or made significant contributions on the field.
However, on June 22, 2025, Boniface joined several high-profile personalities—including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Odumodublvck, Mayorkun, Broda Shaggi, Victor Osimhen, and Ahmed Musa—at the Troost-Ekong Charity Football Match held at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos. The star-studded game ended 7–5, with goals scored by notable figures including Boniface himself, and comedian AY was named Man of the Match as Troost-Ekong lifted the Charity Cup.
The most talked-about moment occurred when Boniface came face to face with the same lady, who was at the venue as part of the media team covering the event. Unlike her confident demeanor on the podcast, she appeared visibly awkward and silent upon encountering the footballer in person.
In a playful response, Boniface took to Instagram to post a clip of their meeting, cheekily captioning it, “I dey with the forehead babe,” followed by laughing emojis. The video quickly gained traction online, with many viewers referencing the popular saying, “Freedom of speech dey, but freedom after speech, I can’t assure you,” to describe the encounter.
