Popular Nigerian comedian Odahohwo Joseph Efe, widely known as Carter Efe, has sparked strong reactions online following a viral clip in which he harshly criticized Afrobeats star Wizkid.
Known for previously referring to Wizkid as his “Idolo,” Carter Efe expressed deep frustration, calling the singer an “idiot” and accusing him of being filled with excessive pride.
The outburst follows Carter Efe’s earlier decision to publicly switch his allegiance to Davido, during a live session with singer Khaid. In that session, he lamented Wizkid’s long-standing refusal to acknowledge him despite his public support and even the release of a tribute song titled “Machala”, which gained massive attention but received no response from the artist.
Carter’s anger escalated during a subsequent live session when a fan informed him that Wizkid had just posted his photo on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption “My G.” Carter rejected the claim, saying it would be impossible and sarcastically remarked that “Lion is pregnant” would be more believable. He concluded the rant by stating that Wizkid is the proudest artist to ever exist and reiterated his disappointment by labeling him an “idiot.”
Carter Efe said; “If machala called me my G, it means something happened or whether Lion get belle (Pregnant), e no fit happen, that boy too get pride, idiot.”
