Controversial show promoter Sam Larry has stirred fresh controversy by leaking a private audio conversation between himself and rapper Zlatan Ibile, amid ongoing backlash linked to the late singer Mohbad‘s case.
This move follows Sam Larry’s recent interview with activist Verydarkman, where he denied ever assaulting Mohbad and claimed he was being unfairly targeted online.
In the leaked audio, Sam Larry is heard pleading with Zlatan to publicly clarify the situation. “Please, help me explain what really happened. They keep pushing this bullying narrative. It’s not true,” he said.
Zlatan, however, expressed reluctance. He explained that he had intentionally avoided the controversy for more than two years due to pressure from his family and the fear of online backlash, making it clear that he preferred to stay away from the drama.
“I am being careful; I will recommend giving a press statement. It’s been over two years since I refused to get involved in this saga. My mum and dad have warned me not to get involved; the last time I was dragged over what I said online, I was traumatised,” Zlatan responded.
The rapper also addressed the infamous 9-second viral video that fueled the bullying narrative, claiming it was deliberately edited to mislead the public.
“The media is very toxic; they cropped the video to push an agenda. This is why I don’t want to be involved… I know you are not like that, but I’ve been avoiding this matter to protect myself,” he stated.
Zlatan emphasized that he prioritises his family’s safety and intentionally keeps them off social media to avoid online toxicity.
Following the audio leak by Verydarkman, he gave Zlatan Ibile 48 hours to publicly address the claims and clear the air once and for all.
