A groom has stirred massive reactions online after he was spotted watching a football match featuring Lionel Messi during his traditional wedding.
The viral clip, shared on TikTok by @m3cube_media, was captioned: “When Messi has a match, same day and time as your Traditional marriage.” It revealed the groom beaming with joy as he watched Messi in action on his smartphone, despite sitting beside his bride.
The bride, on the other hand, wore a smile but appeared uninterested in her groom’s divided attention.
Reports indicate that the match in question was Inter Miami’s clash against Paris Saint-Germain in the FIFA Club World Cup, where Inter Miami suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat in the round of 16.
The groom’s actions have since divided online users. While some slammed his behavior as disrespectful and called it a red flag, others saw it as a lighthearted moment, saying it reflects the passion many fans have for football.
