A Nigerian MSc degree holder has spoken out emotionally after attending a job interview for TikToker Peller’s advertised cameraman role, only to realize it was allegedly staged for content.

In a viral video, the young man revealed that he applied in good faith, believing the ₦500K-per-month job offer was genuine. He said he came prepared to pitch himself, work hard, and grow, not to be turned into a skit. According to him, there was no follow-up or communication after the interviews, and no real job offer was made.

Expressing his frustration, he clarified that he’s not against content creation, being a creator himself, but felt misled and used. “This is unfair,” he said, adding that many others like him showed up with hope and seriousness, only to be left disappointed. The incident has sparked fresh debate about ethics in content creation and the treatment of job seekers in digital media stunts.

She said;

“I went for Peller’s job opening with the intention to work, pitch myself, and grow. But instead, I was used for content. No actual job. No follow-up. Just part of another episode. And honestly? That’s unfair. I’m not against content creation I am a content creator myself.”
