Tems delivered a show-stopping performance during the halftime show at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Final, held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
She shared the stage with global stars Doja Cat and J Balvin, making history as part of the tournament’s first official halftime show. The event was creatively led by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and supported by Global Citizen.
The Nigerian singer, known for her soulful Afrobeats sound, described the performance as a moment to unite the world and support a good cause. Through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, \$1 from every ticket sold was pledged toward raising \$100 million to support children’s education worldwide.
Tems’ appearance not only celebrated African music on a global stage but also coincided with her role as co-owner of MLS club San Diego FC, making her the first African woman to hold such a position. Her performance captured hearts worldwide and marked another milestone in her rapidly growing international career.
