Popular Nigerian comedy child actor Emmanuella has officially turned 18, marking the milestone with a heartfelt message and lovely new photos shared on her social media.
In her post, the entertainer wrote, “Dear God, I’m grateful,” expressing deep gratitude for how far she has come in her journey from child star to young adult.
Emmanuella made her breakthrough in the comedy scene at just five years old after meeting comedian Mark Angel during a family holiday. During an audition where several children failed to memorize their lines, young Emmanuella stood out with her impressive memory and endurance, holding her own through an 18-hour shoot. Mark Angel later convinced her parents to let her join his comedy team.
She shot to fame through the viral skit “My Real Face”, which gained international attention and was even featured on CNN’s Facebook page. Over the years, she has remained a fan favorite, appearing in several skits, including one with Regina Daniels and Success during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown.
In 2018, Emmanuella made headlines after landing a role in a Disney film, a feat that earned her a special invitation to the Nigerian National Assembly by then Senate President Bukola Saraki. She also featured in the Australian film “Survive or Die” and won the award for Top Subscribed Creator from YouTube in 2016.
To celebrate her new age, Emmanuella recently appeared in a TikTok video asking fans to guess how old she was. Many guessed 15, but she revealed with a smile that she was now 18.
