The father of viral Ibom Air passenger Comfort Emmanson has voiced strong outrage, demanding compensation for what he described as the humiliation and public disgrace of his daughter.
Speaking to concerned Nigerians who approached him for comment, he said he had worked tirelessly to raise and educate his daughter, only to see her dignity trampled in an incident that has since attracted nationwide attention.
He lamented that the family’s reputation had been deeply damaged following reports that his daughter was stripped naked in public, insisting that those responsible must be held accountable. According to him, financial compensation is necessary not only to redress the wrong but also to send a message that such treatment of any citizen is unacceptable.
He stressed that no family should have to endure this kind of embarrassment, adding that the incident has caused emotional pain and lasting damage to their image.
In his words; “I don’t know why it would have happened that way. Is it because I don’t have money? I don’t know how these people are going to pay my bills. They just rubbished us. They tarnished our image. I’m not feeling myself and I don’t feel like eating anything. They strip my child naked, and she didn’t steal. Compensation must be paid….”
