The Nigerian football national team, the Super Eagles, has reassured Nigerians after their match against Equatorial Guinea in the ongoing 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations 2023 (AFCON), hosted by Ivory Coast.
In their first game of AFCON, the Super Eagles played to a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea. Despite the draw, the players were seen in a video singing and dancing joyfully to an indigenous song.
Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, and other players were captured vibing energetically to the beat played in the background, conveying a sense of unity and optimism despite the result of the match.
The song with lyrics, “Why are you so so worried? Fellow Nigerians, we won’t let you down…”, implying that they will strive hard to make Nigerians proud.
