Popular Nigerian singer and rapper Shallipopi, known for his hit single “Elon Musk,” has garnered attention by splurging on a new diamond neck chain worth 10 BTC (Bitcoin), equivalent to approximately N866 million.
Shallipopi, who considers Wizkid his biggest influence, shared the news on his verified page on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter). The artist gained recognition in the Nigerian music industry in 2023 with the release of his single “Elon Musk,” which topped the Nigeria Top 100 Apple Music chart.
Having recently achieved the milestone of shutting down a 15,000-capacity venue in London, UK, Shallipopi continues to make waves in the music scene.
In a post on X, Shallipopi stated, “10 BTC one neck,” indicating his extravagant purchase. Based on current information from reputable cryptocurrency exchanges, 1 BTC is valued at $52,000. Therefore, 10 BTC amounts to $520,000, which is approximately N866 million in Nigerian currency.
