Renowned Nollywood actor and producer, Kunle Afolayan, has addressed the attention drawn by a viral dance video featuring him and his daughter, Eyiyemi, at an event.
On February 26th, Kunle Afolayan made headlines for his dance with his daughter at the premiere of the movie “Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre.” The star-studded event took place on February 25th, 2024, at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, and is scheduled to be launched on Netflix on March 1.
The video, where Kunle Afolayan is seen dancing with his daughter from behind, sparked discussions, with some describing it as romantic. In the footage, the acclaimed movie producer embraces his daughter, swaying together from side to side.

In response to the considerable criticism he faced for his dance with his daughter, Kunle Afolayan addressed the controversy on his verified Instagram page.
He expressed his indifference to the opinions circulating about the video, asserting that he is not bothered by what people are saying. Kunle Afolayan further stated that others may attempt to bring him down, but their efforts can only be futile.
Accompanying the video with Phyno and Burna Boy hit song “Do I”, Kunle Afolayan wrote; “I am a King! I am a child of the most high! You can only try👍🏾 Love surpasses everything 🫶🏾 Do I look like …”
