Renowned Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has announced the end of his nearly 13-year marriage to actress Annie Idibia.
In an emotional statement on his official Instagram page, 2Baba revealed that the couple had been separated for some time and are currently in the process of filing for divorce.
The Afrobeat legend promised to release an official statement soon, where he will share his side of the story and address any misconceptions surrounding their separation.
2Baba wrote: “Hello to my beautiful people of all FEDERATIONS… I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now and currently filed divorce… I would grant a press release soon to say my story.”
Fashion icon and media personality Toke Makinwa has since slammed 2Baba for his announcement, stating that he should be ashamed of himself and warning him that he’ll have to “fight all of us” if he thinks Annie Idibia is alone.
