Nigerian comedian and former Naval officer, Abdulgafar Abiola, widely known as Cute Abiola, has shared the story of his 30-day detention in a military cell.
On his Instagram page, the father of one revealed that he underwent a humbling experience in the military custody in 2021. He disclosed that his detention occurred after he violated the armed forces’ social media policy by posting a video of himself in uniform.
Cute Abiola shared photos documenting his time in detention with fellow cellmates, expressing gratitude to the military for the experience.
In November 2021, Cute Abiola went missing, and concerns were raised by his colleague, Mr. Macaroni, after he couldn’t be located for 10 days. Subsequently, the navy confirmed his arrest for the violation of armed forces’ regulations.
Tripping down the memory, he wrote, “30 days Inside cell 😭🤣 2021 ! The military really humbled me 😎 🤣 !!!! Thank you Armed Forces 🙈”.
