Davido, the superstar Afrobeats artist, expressed his excitement in response to the news of Cubana Chief Priest being granted N10 million bail by the court for alleged Naira abuse.

Cubana Chief Priest, a close friend of Davido, broke his silence after the court granted him bail. He appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court, Lagos, on April 17th, 2024.

The charges against Cubana Chief Priest by the EFCC revolve around accusations of spraying and tampering with the Naira at events, including one at Eko Hotel on February 13th, 2024, another in Lagos in January 2024, and a separate event in 2020.

During the court proceedings, Cubana’s lawyer, Chukosolo Ojukwu, contested the EFCC’s charges and filed a bail application on his behalf. Despite initially admitting guilt and seeking bail, Cubana Chief Priest was eventually granted bail in the amount of N10 million.

After getting freedom few hours after he was arraigned in the court of Law, Cubana Chief Priest wrote;

“Seeing All You Messages & Love I’m So Humbled. Now It’s Confirmed CP No Small.
Money💸 Na Water💦.”

Upon seeing the above message from his close pal on IG, Davido who is having a big concert at Madison Square Garden today in New York City wasted no time to react.

Reacting, Davido said it can never be possible for the court to jail his friend Cubana Chief Priest for 6months stressing that he can’t do without not seeing Cubana Chief Priest for six months.

Davido wrote via the comment section; “I no go see u for 6 months ke … never.”
