Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon‘s movie debut, ‘All’s Fair in Love,’ has achieved significant success, grossing N27 million just a few days after its release on February 14, 2024.
In an Instagram post, Deyemi shared that the movie has broken several records, including the highest opening weekend for a Nollywood film in 2024, highest opening weekend for a Nollywood Romcom, highest-grossing Nollywood film of the weekend, and the biggest February opening for a Nollywood film.
‘All’s Fair in Love’ premiered on Valentine’s day and explores the complexities of relationships between two Nigerian business partners and friends who become romantically involved with the same woman, played by Buhle Samuels. The star-studded cast includes Deyemi Okanlawon, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ireti Doyle, Juliet Ibrahim, Beauty Tukura, Venita Akpofure, Kunle Bamtefa, Gbubemi Ejeye, Kenzy Udonsenm, Oprah Okereke, and Timilehin Ojeola. Deyemi Okanlawon expressed joy and gratitude to his fans for the success of the movie.
He wrote, “Let this be a reminder that whatever you do in this life and in whatever situation you find yourself… never ever underestimate God and His plans for good towards you! I’m giving all the Glory to Him and Him alone and I thank everyone of you family, friends and fans that have shown your love and support… this is our win!
