Famous Nollywood actress Funke Akindele expressed her excitement as her cinematic creation, “A Tribe Called Judah,” is on the verge of grossing 1 billion.
The movie is making history as the highest-grossing Nollywood film ever with 854 million views in cinemas, according to the Nigerian box office.
Funke Akindele shared this milestone on her verified Instagram page, celebrating the success of the film released on December 15th, 2023.
“A Tribe Called Judah” features Akindele herself, portraying the character Jedidah Judah, a single mother navigating life with her sons. The movie includes a talented ensemble cast, including Jide Kene Achufusi and Timini Egbuson.
She wrote; “Na God Dey run am!!!!”

The movie was released on December 22nd 2023 and by extension becomes the second highest-grossing film for 2023.
