Damilola Marshal, daughter of Fuji legend K1 De Ultimate, has responded to the viral report involving her father at the Abuja airport.
In a post shared on Instagram, she defended him, stating that the claims made by airport authorities were false and lacked proper verification.
The incident began when the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) accused the musician of trying to board a ValueJet flight with alcohol in his flask, which would violate aviation rules. However, K1’s spokesperson later clarified that the flask contained only water, and not alcohol as alleged.
Damilola, who is also a Senior Special Assistant on Tourism to the Lagos State Governor, criticized the accusation as careless and damaging. She revealed that officials from FAAN, the NCAA, and ValueJet later apologized privately after confirming the facts.
Despite this, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority suspended two pilots involved and also blacklisted K1 De Ultimate for six months. Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo described the incident as unacceptable, though Damilola questioned how such a serious allegation was made without proper checks.

She wrote, “I don’t know why a reputable agency would lie that water is alcohol. I don’t know when K1 became a magician who turns water into alcohol. With the same flask, all of a sudden, everyone is pretending as if they don’t know he carries his water in his flask everywhere.”
