Moment singer Tekno collapses on stage in South Africa during tour

Nigerian singer and record producer Augustine Miles Kelechi Okechukwu, better known as Alhaji Tekno, reportedly collapsed on stage during a performance in South Africa.

The incident occurred while he was on his music tour, shortly after his shows in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. Tekno fainted while performing and has since been rushed to a hospital in Johannesburg. His current condition is not yet known.

In the viral video, Tekno is seen being carried by several men behind a large banner after he collapsed.

Tekno, renowned for his blend of Afrobeats, Afropop, and hip-hop, first made a mark in the Nigerian music industry in 2013 with his debut single “Holiday,” featuring Davido. His 2014 hit “Dance” and subsequent tracks like “Anything” further cemented his status. The 2015 release “Duro” became a major hit across Africa, leading to multiple nominations and awards. His track “Wash” continued his success in the Nigerian music scene. The video of his collapse has sparked widespread reactions online.
