Superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, has gone viral after a video showed him maturely rejecting a female fan’s request for an Instagram follow.
In the clip, the lady asked Davido to follow her on Instagram, but the singer politely declined, saying he only follows his wife. He added jokingly that his wife, Chioma, might “kill” him if he did otherwise — a statement that drew applause from fans who praised his loyalty.
This moment comes just weeks after Davido made headlines for acquiring a Lamborghini Revuelto worth over N1.5 billion, ahead of his upcoming white wedding with Chioma in August 2025. Many fans now see the singer in a new light, calling him more focused and committed to his family.
The lady in the clip said as he approaches Davido; “ I want you to follow me on Instagram.”
Davido responded; “My wife would kill me.”
The lady get closer to Davido with her hands touching that of the singer and said; “No she won’t, she is my friend.”
Davido replied her; “I only follow my wife, I can’t follow anybody.”
