Popular Nigerian singer, Inetimi Alfred Timaya, commonly known as Timaya, has revealed that he started using drugs during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Timaya shared this information during an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM.
Timaya stated that he acknowledges he is not a saint and has engaged in drug use in the past.
He shared an experience from 2020 during the lockdown when he visited some young boys who seemed happy.
As the boss with ample resources, he inquired about the source of their happiness.
Upon asking, the boys revealed that they were using a drug called Molly. Curious, Timaya tried it and claimed to have been so happy that he gave away all his money.
He continued to take three pills a day, leading to significant weight loss. Timaya candidly discussed his past involvement with drugs during the interview.
