Social media influencer Amarachi Amusi, popularly known as Ashmusy, has shared details about her challenging childhood and her family’s struggles.
As a guest on media personality Chude Jideonwo’s podcast, the skit maker also addressed the criticism and backlash she has faced on social media.
Ashmusy stated that she cannot date a politician or engage in transactional relationships to make ends meet. She expressed shock at rumors linking her romantically to Dino Melaye, dismissing them as false.
According to Ashmusy, who was recently criticized by social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman, she grew up in a single room and parlor shared with 20 people.
She revealed that during her childhood, loan sharks frequently came to their shop and home to seize their belongings because her mother couldn’t repay the loans she had taken. Despite these challenges, Ashmusy has worked hard to improve her family’s situation, even buying a car for her mother.
The skit maker also recalled her struggles as a student at Madonna University, where she survived on just ₦5,000 per semester due to her family’s financial difficulties.
