Laycon, the former Big Brother Naija Lockdown Season 5 winner, shared a challenging experience from 2013 when he faced extreme hunger.

During that difficult time, he revealed that he used toilet water to soak garri, a staple food made from cassava flakes, because he had no money and was starving.

Laycon mentioned that the garri he soaked did not have sugar, and due to financial constraints, he had no choice but to use sewage water to prepare it.

His story sheds light on the hardships he endured before attaining fame and success.

In his words;

“One of my lowest lows was using Shodeinde Hostel toilet water to soak garri in 2013. I was alone in my wing that weekend, and I was starving. I wasn’t hungry o, I was starving. So I soaked Garri with no sugar and used toilet tap water to drink it… as I Dey soak the garri, water dey commot for my eyes.”
