Emerging musician Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, opened up about the inspiration behind his drive to make money, citing a period of intense hunger as a turning point in his life.
Shallipopi shared that there was a time when he was so financially strained that he had to survive on garri for ten consecutive days. It was during this challenging period that he took a moment to reflect on his life.
In a recent episode of the Turntable podcast, during an interview with Hip Hop artist Odumodublck, Shallipopi talked about the difficult circumstances that occurred before he gained fame. Odumodu asked about the tough experiences that fueled his determination to succeed.
Shallipopi explained that the realization hit him after enduring ten days of drinking garri continuously. This hardship became a turning point, motivating him to work hard and strive for success in life.
“Make you just taste garri for like 10 straight days, then you go rethink your life. You go blow by force,” the 23-year-old singer said.
