Superstar Afrobeats singer Divine Ikubor professionally known as Rema has taken to social media to react after performing at the 2023 Ballon d’Or.
Rema once again continues to put Afrobeats on the global scale and by extension makes Nigerians proud as he performs his hit song “Calm Down” at the football award.
The award was held yesterday evening October 30th 2023 at he Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France.
Lionel Messi of Argentina emerged as the winner followed by Erlin Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, Vinicius Junior, Julian Alvarez.
Victor Osimehen makes Nigeria proud as he was ranked number 8th in the world followed by Bernando Silva and Luka Modric in the 10th place.
Rema in his Instagram post after his performance thanks the Organizers of the award for the opportunity and also gives thanks to God.
He wrote; “Afrobeat in Ballon d’Or, I’m truly grateful for the opportunity. Glory to the most high for the grace. 🤲🏾❤️.”
