Popular Nigerian content creator Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, widely known as Shank Comics, has officially declared that he is no longer a skit maker.
He made this revelation during a video call conversation with fellow creators Carter Efe and Sydney Talker, shortly after attending Wizkid’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California, on June 22, 2025.
Shank Comics, who had been scheduled to stream the concert and also linked up with singer Asake during the event, was questioned by Carter Efe and Sydney Talker about why he didn’t seize the opportunity to create content with Wizkid. In response, Shank made it clear that his mindset had evolved, stating that he no longer approaches situations with the skit-making mentality, as he now sees himself beyond that role.
His comment took both Carter and Sydney by surprise, leading them to burst into laughter at the unexpected declaration. The conversation also highlighted Shank Comics’ rising influence in the digital space, especially after becoming the most-streamed Nigerian on Twitch.
Additionally, Shank’s transition into full-time streaming has been boosted by a recent \$10,000 (₦16 million) cash prize he received from popular American streamer Kai Cenat’s “Streamer University,” aimed at supporting and expanding his streaming and content creation ventures.
