Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has revealed her desire to get married again. The 58-year-old made this known during a recent interview with BBC Yoruba, where she opened up about personal struggles, her journey abroad, and her plans for the future.
Speaking during the interview, Bukky Wright shared that she still prays to have a husband of her own and even made it a prayer point during her pilgrimage to Mecca.
While expressing her hope for love and companionship, she noted that it isn’t a do-or-die matter and she would be content even if marriage doesn’t happen again.
The actress, who relocated to the United States in 2008 to raise her two sons, recalled going through a difficult divorce that left her feeling lonely and depressed.
Despite the challenges, she avoided menial jobs and instead trained in IT, later specializing in audit and cybersecurity.
With her children now grown, she’s returning to the screen and urged fans to look out for her upcoming movie, The Return of Omotara Johnson, along with other projects. She also praised the Nollywood industry’s growth, noting that the standard has improved greatly over the years.
