Verydarkman slams Funke Akindele, Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage & other celebrities for donating N100m to Bobrisky while in prison

Controversial social media activist Martins Otse Vincent, widely known as Verydarkman, has voiced his disappointment in Nigerian celebrities who collectively donated ₦63 million to crossdresser Bobrisky while he was in prison.

This criticism came after Bobrisky, recently released from police custody, publicly acknowledged a long list of celebrities and billionaires who supported him during his difficult time. The self-proclaimed ‘Mummy of Lagos’ expressed heartfelt gratitude to actresses like Funke Akindele, Moyo Lawal, Eniola Ajao, Omoborty, Tonto Dikeh, Sotayo Gaga, and singers such as Niniola, Tiwa Savage, and Don Jazzy. He also mentioned contributions from socialite Abu Abel, footballer Victor Osimhen, and others, noting the substantial amounts each donated, which totaled ₦63 million.

Bobrisky’s post sparked widespread reactions online, including a strong response from Verydarkman, who took to his official Instagram page to express his views. The activist stated that he has lost respect for every celebrity who contributed money to Bobrisky, accusing them of encouraging criminal behavior.

Verydarkman argued that the funds should have been directed toward aiding impoverished communities in Nigeria, rather than supporting someone he views as promoting negative values.

In his words, “Bobrisky is not a Good Role Model, It Was Very Wrong For Popular Nigerian Celebrities to Contribute and Donate Almost N100Million to Bobrisky while he was In Prison, I have lost respect for every single Person who donated money to Bobrisky, The money should have been Donated to Impoverished Communities in Nigeria”.
