Popular Nigerian comedian Kamo, renowned for his “stop-and-search” skits, had an unforgettable encounter with actress Iyabo Ojo that quickly turned chaotic.
Kamo, whose real name is Akinyoola Ayoola, is known for his comedic portrayal of a police officer who conducts exaggerated searches on celebrities in his skits. He has previously worked with stars like Femi Adebayo, DJ Chicken, and Mike Ezuronye, among others.
In a video shared on Kamo’s Instagram page on August 19th, 2024, the comedian had a heated exchange with Iyabo Ojo while she was driving. After complying with his request for her car particulars, Kamo took the skit to a ridiculous level by asking for her birth certificate and HIV certificate. Iyabo, keeping up with the joke, provided these as well, only for Kamo to shockingly ask for her death certificate.
Iyabo Ojo, clearly taken aback, responded by humorously attacking Kamo’s maternal figure, which escalated the situation. The banter between them intensified as Iyabo questioned whether Kamo knew who she was. Kamo cheekily claimed he only knew “Iyabo rain” and not Iyabo Ojo, further frustrating the actress.
The exchange continued with Iyabo mentioning the “Queen Mother,” to which Kamo, still in character, responded that he only knew “King Mother.” The situation spiraled further when Kamo, after all the insults, demanded money from Iyabo. She teasingly offered him N10,000, which led to a comically chaotic scene where Iyabo had to jump out of her car window to avoid the ensuing “trouble.”
The video has since gone viral, with fans enjoying the hilarious back-and-forth between the two entertainers.
