Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, is once again in the spotlight following a video in which he boldly claims that his breakout hit, “Zazoo Zeh,” helped elevate Olamide’s international presence. The statement has stirred strong reactions online, reigniting discussions about their brief but impactful collaboration.
“Zazoo Zeh,” which was released in December 2021, featured YBNL boss Olamide and popular dancer Pocolee. The track quickly became a street anthem and shot Portable into fame. However, in the new video making rounds, Portable expressed disappointment that Olamide has not maintained a relationship with him since the song’s success.
Speaking candidly, Portable admitted there had been tension and misunderstandings between them. Still, he prayed never to be abandoned by a helper due to his personality. He went further to say that while “Zazoo Zeh” gave Olamide a global street appeal, his collaboration with British rapper Skepta on “Tony Montana” helped Skepta connect with the Nigerian streets.
Portable ended his statement by appealing to Olamide for another chance to work together. He asked for a verse or a spot on Olamide’s upcoming album or deluxe version, adding confidently that such a collaboration would win a Grammy.
