A viral video of a newly ordained Nigerian Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Chris Orajiaka, has sparked widespread admiration and emotional reactions online.
Fr. Chris, who previously held two university degrees and owned a multimillion-naira company, gave it all up to follow his calling to the priesthood.
He recently celebrated his first Mass at the Catholic Church of Divine Mercy in Lekki, Lagos, where one of the most touching moments came during the presentation of the maniturgium to his mother.
The maniturgium, a sacred linen cloth used to wipe off the chrism oil during ordination, is traditionally handed over by the new priest to his mother as a symbol of her sacrifice and spiritual honor.
The gesture moved many online, with people praising his humility, faith, and devotion. His decision to abandon wealth and status for a life of service is being widely seen as both inspiring and rare in today’s world.

thetrentonline: He actually didn’t “drop his degrees”. He still has them and will definitely draw from them in his journey. Catholic priests are the most educated in the Body of Christ, worldwide. So that should be noted that you don’t “drop” your education when you become a priest. You actually begin a brand new journey in education.
ask.dehrine : Every mother’s joy is to see their children doing well and living their purpose… I pray for every mother reading this, May you eat the fruit of your labors… May God bless your children with grace and prosperity to fulfill their dreams and be successful
