Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and global philanthropist, has surprised fans with his debut appearance in a Nigerian comedy skit, marking a rare and unexpected crossover into African pop culture.
The light-hearted scene features Gates alongside rapper MI Abaga, comedian Broda Shaggi, and skit maker Layi Wasabi inside a mock music studio.
The video, shared on MI Abaga’s Instagram page, shows Gates playfully offering lyrical suggestions for what appears to be a track by veteran Nigerian artist Ms. Veno Marioghae.
Though Gates has previously participated in humorous PR content, this is his first direct engagement with African comedy.
The skit has quickly gained traction online, sparking excitement and praise for the creators.
