Afrobeats sensation Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema, has sent fans into a frenzy with the announcement of his upcoming single titled “Kelebu”, set for release this Friday, August 1, 2025.

To celebrate the launch, Rema introduced a worldwide dance challenge with a massive $10,000 (₦16 million) prize. The challenge invites fans from all corners of the globe to showcase their best moves to the new track.

Participants are expected to post their dance videos using the hashtag #KELEBUChallenge and tag Rema on social media. According to the Calm Down hitmaker, the dance should be simple enough to learn but creative enough to go viral.

Following Rema’s announcement, a throwback clip of late Nollywood legend John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, resurfaced on social media and quickly went viral.

Netizens, amused by the actor’s hilarious dance moves in the video, began tagging Rema, jokingly declaring Mr Ibu the rightful winner of the challenge.

Some even called on the singer to gift the $10,000 prize to the late actor’s family in his honour.

It will be recalled that Mr Ibu, one of Nigeria’s most beloved comic actors, passed away in 2024.

Amid Rema’s Kelebu dance challenge, a video of the late actor dancing has resurfaced online and is featured below:
