Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Teni Apata, also known as Teni entertainer, has shared her thoughts on Davido’s loss to South African musician, Tyla, at the 66th Grammy Awards.
On her Instagram page on Monday, February 5, 2024, Teni playfully warned South Africa’s football team about the upcoming AFCON match against Nigeria on Wednesday, February 7th. She humorously stated that Nigeria’s team will make South Africa “dance amapiaono on the field.”
In a light-hearted manner, Teni jokingly connected the Grammy Awards to the current mood in Nigeria, wondering if they are trying to “spoil our fun.” She expressed a playful concern about the potential impact on the celebratory atmosphere in Nigeria.
She concluded by saying, “See, South Africa, you are in for it. Osimhen over to you, Lookman, over to you.” This playful banter follows Teni’s earlier jesting at Ghanaian players after their football match loss to the Super Eagles in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
