Pocolee, Carter Efe, Adekunle Gold, Falz, Gov Adeleke, Zlatan Ibile, Teni and others celebrate as Super Eagles advance to the Final (Video)

Nigerian celebrities are joyfully celebrating as the Super Eagles of Nigeria secured a spot in the AFCON final by defeating South Africa on penalties.

In the semi-final match held on February 7th, 2024, the Super Eagles won 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time and extra time. The three-time champions will now face either Ivory Coast or the Democratic Republic of Congo in the final on Sunday.

The goals in regular time were both penalties, with captain William Troost-Ekong scoring for Nigeria in the 67th minute, and Teboho Mokoena equalizing with a spot-kick in the 90th minute. The match also saw a disallowed goal for Nigeria before Kelechi Iheanacho, who came off the bench, scored the winning penalty during the extra-time shootout.
