Nigerian singer and songwriter, Harrysong (Harrison Tare Okiri), has addressed the rumors surrounding his marital issues with his wife, Alexer Perez Gopa.
On January 17, an Instagram blogger named Cutie Juls claimed that Harrysong had asked his pregnant wife to undergo an abortion, citing concerns about having only female children.
The blog shared a conversation allegedly between Harrysong and Alexer discussing the pregnancy termination. It’s worth noting that Harrysong married Alexer Peres Gopa in March 2021 and welcomed a baby girl in December 2021.
In response to the rumors, Harrysong took to the insta-stories section of his official Instagram page to address the situation. While not directly denying the accusations, he acknowledged that his family is going through a challenging time. The ‘Reggae Blues’ singer earnestly appealed to the public to respect his family’s privacy during this difficult period.
He wrote; “After much reflection and discussion with my family, I have decided to put out this to my fans and well wishers, that while this is undoubtedly a challenging time for my family on the stories making round on social media of the marital problems my wife and i are having, I am appealing to members of the public to respect my family’s privacy this period and also to kindly request for your outmost understanding pls.. Thanks for the love and support.”
In the leaked conversation mentioned earlier, the artist instructed his wife to utilize the N100,000 he provided for cooking for his grandmother to undergo the abortion. He asserted that he wouldn’t take responsibility for a child if it happens to be a girl.
Another chat revealed Alexer Perez accusing Harrysong of having multiple affairs, to which he confessed and argued that those individuals were superior to her.
Sharing one of the screenshots, the blogger wrote;
“Dear Nigerians, please this is your celebrity, Harry Song asking his pregnant wife to go and abort the pregnancy she is carrying. Saying she is a mother of girls because na only girls she dey born.
“Just imagine o. He even says he will divorce the wife for getting pregnant because, in his head, he has already concluded that the wife will give birth to a girl. His wife is in the house with his mother while werey is in France. I’m so livid and can’t type enough right now. Just let me calm down a bit.
“Will upload more of his inhumane messages to his wife. All because the lady is pregnant with their 3rd child and he is saying he is sure it’s another girl. Harry Song, I have checked and there is evidence that your wife has cooked different meals and your grandma was eaten. Mr Mahn, please leave this bad behaviour in 2023″.
