Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, widely known as Shank Comics, has caused a stir online after gifting himself a luxury Mercedes AMG GLE 63 S Coupe, reportedly worth ₦150 million ($100,000).
Shank, who is currently in Nigeria despite being US-based, celebrated the new car purchase in a video featuring fellow creator Asherkine and close friends. A touching moment from the clip shows Shank’s mother offering heartfelt prayers for his continued success.
The luxury purchase comes just weeks after the Obafemi Awolowo University graduate humorously shared how his father once converted from Islam to Christianity just because of church food—a story that trended widely.
Fans may also recall Shank’s surprise win of $10,000 (about ₦16 million) at Kai Cenat’s Streamer University bootcamp held at Akron University, courtesy of a MrBeast giveaway. The prize was awarded through a sticky note hidden under a random chair—Shank’s.
Since then, Shank Comics has risen as one of Nigeria’s top Twitch streamers, creating content with several American creators, including Reginae Carter, daughter of rapper Lil Wayne.
