Shola Ogudu, the first baby mama of Nigerian music star Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, recently expressed her displeasure after being addressed as “Iyawo Wizkid” by a social media user. The incident occurred shortly after Shola shared new photos of herself on her official Instagram page.
The user, apparently complimenting her lifestyle and appearance, referred to her as “Iyawo Wizkid,” a Yoruba phrase meaning “Wizkid’s wife.” However, Shola did not take the comment lightly and reacted sharply, making it clear that she no longer wished to be associated with the singer in such a manner.
Shola, who shares a 14-year-old son named Boluwatife with Wizkid, has maintained a relatively low profile over the years. Her response to the comment highlights her desire to be recognized on her own terms rather than being constantly linked to her past relationship with the Afrobeats star.
The netizen identified as biggest_macdon_ commented; “Iyawo Ibrahim!! Everyday is a holiday ❤️🦅.”
However, the above comment did not go down well with Wizkid’s babymama, Shola Ogudu as she refers to “Iyawo Ibrahim” comment as being detrimental to his forthcoming relationship.
The babymama issues a strong warning to all and sundry as she tells them never to call her “Iyawo Ibrahim” stressing that she really and truly dislikes it.
Shola Ogudu reacted, “I’m not one to address anything whether true or false.. BUT this type comment on every single one of my post is actually very detrimental to me actually being ‘Iyawo somebody’ one day.
Constantly commenting shit like this is not a good look. I actually really and truly dislike it. Let this be the last of this delusional type comment please. Thanks and Godbless you 🙏🏽.”
