The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted bail to crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.
Earlier reports from Intel Region stated that Bobrisky was arrested and detained by the EFCC on Wednesday night, April 3rd, 2024, at its Lagos command. The arrest was related to allegations of naira abuse, spraying of naira notes, and currency mutilation.
The EFCC’s invitation to the 31-year-old came after a video surfaced showing him spraying and displaying large sums of new Naira notes at the premiere of a movie titled “Ajakaju,” produced by Nollywood actress and producer Eniola Ajao at Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos on March 24, 2024.
Sources within the commission confirmed that Bobrisky has indeed been granted bail, but as of now, he has not met the undisclosed bail conditions for his release. The specific bail requirements have not been revealed by our source.
