A video showing a Muslim astronaut praying in space has surfaced online, sparking discussions among online communities.
In the video, the astronaut, trained to travel in spacecraft, demonstrates his dedication to observing Solat, one of the pillars of Islam that requires Muslims to pray five times daily within specific time frames. Despite being in a challenging environment filled with deep ocean creatures such as whales, sharks, and other aquatic animals, the astronaut manages to perform his prayers at the designated times to receive blessings from the Almighty.
The video captures the astronaut laying his prayer mat and beginning his prayers. He performs the bowing (Ruku) and prostration (Sujud) parts of the prayer, touching his head to the floor twice, and then continues with the rakat of Solat.
This remarkable display of devotion by the Muslim astronaut has garnered attention on social media, with many emphasizing that those on Earth have no excuse not to pray at the prescribed times.
