A viral video has captured the tense moment a popular skit maker was apprehended and taken to a military barracks after pulling a roadside prank on a Nigerian soldier in Lagos.
In the clip, the skit maker pretended to be on the phone, claiming to receive an order to “shoot” the soldier, while holding a tripod stand concealed in a black bag that resembled a firearm. Unbeknownst to him, another soldier was nearby and quickly intervened.
The skit maker was immediately overpowered and forced into a tricycle (keke) by the soldiers, who took him straight to their barracks. The incident has sparked widespread reactions, with many saying it should serve as a warning to other content creators not to involve security personnel in dangerous pranks.
