Social media activist Verydarkman has lambasted Cubana Chief Priest’s alleged brother, Bethel Okechukwu, for accepting a $30k gift from Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy. Verydarkman criticized Bethel for feeling entitled to Cubana Chief Priest’s money, calling him “weak mentally” and “lazy” for not working hard to achieve his own success.
In a video posted online, Verydarkman questioned Bethel’s entitlement, saying, “Who tells you that your brother owes you money when he makes it? Your brother decides whether he wants to help you or not.” He also pointed out that Bethel had previously claimed to be Cubana Chief Priest’s brother, but later revealed they were actually cousins.
Verydarkman accused Burna Boy of using the situation to score a “cheap point” and criticized him for not verifying the information before giving Bethel the money. He concluded by advising Bethel to work hard and earn his own success rather than relying on his cousin’s wealth.
He said, “You see the media will finish everybody at the end of the day, now this is the other part of the video, clearly that guy said he is Cubana Chief Priest’s brother so that people will think that they are direct siblings not knowing that he is even an extended sibling. So what was the entitlement for?”
“Burna Boy don dash am money, so congrate to am first. Secondly, Burna Boy must have seen that video before. Why didn’t he call you to give you that money as at the time until him and CP were trending. He is a big man. He used it to score cheap point even at that he don loose guard because he did not cool down to verify the source of an information. That was an obvious click bait.”
“Entitlement is the major problem of the world, who tells you that your brother owes you money when he makes it? Your brother decides whether he wants to help you or not. You said Cubana Chief Priest has the capacity to promote you as a musician. Do you know how much it costs in Nigeria.”
“Again, who gave you the right to think that your brother’s money is your money let alone your cousin’s money. You better go and work. You are a weak man and you are a lazy man if you feel like your brother’s money is your money. You’re weak mentally to think that your brother’s money is yours.”
