In a resurfaced old video, the famous Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Basketmouth, can be seen asking Wizkid for a free promotion for his upcoming show.
In the throwback footage circulating online, Basketmouth and Wizkid were captured together, and Basketmouth took the opportunity to request Wizkid to promote his show without charges. However, Wizkid responded by insisting that Basketmouth must pay him for the promotional service.
Undeterred, Basketmouth continued to plead with Wizkid, suggesting that he simply say, “February 11th, people should come for the show,” emphasizing his relationship as “Uncle Basket.” In response, Wizkid remained firm, adopting the slogan “no gree for anybody” and asserting that Basketmouth should ensure he gets paid.
Basketmouth eventually conceded, acknowledging that he would pay Wizkid some money. However, Wizkid clarified that he wasn’t interested in a small amount and urged Basketmouth to confirm his commitment to paying a substantial sum. The playful exchange captured the dynamic between the two personalities in the entertainment industry.
