Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, widely known as Hushpuppi, a notable Nigerian cyber fraud convict, has become a focal point of online discussions due to a recently surfaced video.
After maintaining silence for several months, Hushpuppi has spoken out from his incarceration in the United States of America. In the circulating video, Hushpuppi is seen celebrating the birthday of Tunde Ednut, a popular figure, while inside the U.S. prison.
On January 20th, 2023, Intel Region reported Tunde Ednut’s 38th birthday, which was widely celebrated across Nigeria and beyond.
In the video, Hushpuppi, despite being in prison, celebrates Tunde Ednut in his own way. The footage shows him enjoying a meal consisting of Jollof Rice, assorted meats, and various beverages.
It’s worth recalling that Hushpuppi received a sentence of over 11 years in a U.S. court, coupled with an order to pay $1.7 million to the victims. This legal action came after Hushpuppi pleaded guilty in April 2021 to one count of conspiracy to engage in money laundering.
