Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, made a rare public appearance with his daughter Machalina (Morayo) in New York, United States, marking the first time he has been seen publicly with his first daughter.
The emotional debut took place at the Tribeca Film Festival, where Wizkid premiered his much-anticipated documentary titled “Wizkid: Long Live Lagos.” The event served as both a celebration of his musical journey and a personal milestone, offering a rare glimpse into the singer’s private family life.
Machalina, Wizkid’s fifth child and first daughter, attended the premiere alongside her mother, Jada Pollock, who is also Wizkid’s longtime manager and partner. Pollock is known to have three children with the singer, and their relationship has largely remained private, much like their family life.
Throughout the evening, Wizkid was seen displaying affection toward his daughter—carrying her in his arms, engaging with her lovingly, and proudly introducing her to guests. The sight of the usually reserved artist sharing tender moments with his daughter captivated many fans and attendees.
The appearance was widely noted as significant, not only because it marked the first public outing with his daughter but also because it highlighted Wizkid’s evolving image—from global music icon to devoted father.
