Nigerians troop to goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali’s father’s house in Rivers state after victory against South Africa

Nigerians, undoubtedly the happiest people on the planet, celebrated fervently after the Super Eagles’ victory against South Africa on February 8th, 2024, securing a spot in the AFCON final.

The semi-final match ended 1-1 after extra time, but the Super Eagles won 4-2 on penalties, thanks in part to goalkeeper Nwabali’s impressive saves.

The celebrations extended to Rivers State, the home state of goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.

In a video circulating on social media, jubilant Nigerians gathered at Stanley Nwabali’s father’s house in Rivers state to celebrate the Super Eagles advancing to the AFCON finals.

The final match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the host nation is scheduled for Sunday, February 11th, 2024, at 9 PM.
