In a recent interview with Beat 99.9 FM, veteran singer Inetimi Alfred Odon, popularly known as Timaya, explained why he doesn’t have a Nigerian girlfriend and shared why he wouldn’t date a Nigerian man if he were a Nigerian girl.
Timaya explained in the interview that he doesn’t necessarily have an issue with Nigerian men, but he expressed that if he were a Nigerian girl, he wouldn’t choose to date a Nigerian man.
Timaya mentioned in the interview that he currently doesn’t have a Nigerian girlfriend.
Timaya, the Bayelsa-born singer, expressed his perspective on relationships during the interview. According to him, he believes there is no fun in dating someone with a similar background, upbringing, and environment.
He shared the opinion that such relationships could become too toxic, drawing a metaphorical comparison to the dynamic between a police officer and a thief.
